Our one week Morocco itinerary from Tangier to the Sahara Desert is your path to discovering Morocco’s treasures with your best travel agency. starts by picking you up from your accommodation in Tangier and traveling to Chefchaouen to admire the beautiful blue city before moving ahead to Fez one of the imperial Morocco cities. Moreover, We will cross the Middle and Atlas mountains. Finally, We reach the Sahara Desert in Merzouga to feel nature by riding camels through the golden dunes. Itinerary for one week across Morocco desert:
Day 1: Tangier to Fes passing by Chefchaouen:
On the first day of our one-week Morocco itinerary via the desert. To start with, meet you at the port or your accommodation in Tangier and then cross the Rif Mountains and the city of Tetouan to enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains. Until we reach Chefchaouan the blue pearl of Morocco according to its blue walls and streets. Thus, we will have free time to enjoy the beautiful village at the foot of the Rif Mountains.
The medina of Chefchaouen has a Spanish-style square, surrounded by many rooftop art and crafts shops, restaurants, and cafes where we will have a special table for lunch. Before, continuing our way to Fez one of the historical cities because of the fast it knew. When we arrive there we will drive you directly to your first accommodation where you are going to spend the night.
Day 2: Fes day tour:
Today is the second day of your journey in Morocco for one week’s itinerary. Therefore, our day is dedicated to exploring Fez with that being means that we will visit every corner of the city. Fes is the oldest imperial city we will see colorful streets and different souks with massive gates. As the Medinas were founded by Idriss II, a center of Arab-Muslim culture Mosque of the Andalusians, tanneries, neighborhood potters, and Medina.
Once noon has arrived we will have free time for lunch and chill out in the palace of the Medina. In the afternoon we continue visiting the Hispano-Moorish buildings and Medersas Nejjarine a historical old building that made the place very famous and the most visited.
Day 3: Fes to Merzouga Sahara desert:
One week Morocco tour’s third day will take us to explore the Sahara desert via Ifrane. Strats after breakfast, we will head south to Ifran and Azrou through the Middle Atlas Mountains our first stop will be at the Switzerland of Morocco. Our second stop will be in the pew forests to see the monkeys in their natural habitat.
Traveling through Tizi Ntalghamt and passing through the beautiful Ziz Gorges carved into the volcanic rock, we will see views of the Middle Atlas Plateau and the changing landscape to reveal notes of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Thirdly, we will continue our journey through the Ziz Valley in Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga.
After a glass of mint tea, we will go out to ride the camels to our Berber camp in the middle of the dunes, which are the highest in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the camp where we will spend the night in our luxury camp.
during your camel trip, our team will take after you by providing free time to pick pics and will stop for you to enjoy the beautiful sunset. When you arrive at the camp you will be welcomed by our team to have a break for tea and pick up your tents. Eventually, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber music drums under the stars, and the milky way.
Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Gorges:
The following day, we recommend you wake up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, and take before you take the camels back to the hotel you are going to enjoy your fresh breakfast in the camp.
When you get back to the village your driver will pick you up again for the gorges of Tinghir and Todra where we will see different canyons and finally reach the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5: Dades to Marrakech:
By the fifth day of our Morocco 1-week itinerary. First, we will drive through the Dades Valley to Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs offers many photo opportunities. Secondly, we will visit the Valley of Roses and the village of Skoura. Then continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco.
After visiting the UNESCO site, our journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters, in the High Atlas Mountains. We stopped to enjoy the stunning views. In the end, we will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Marrakech day tour:
Our one-week itinerary in Morocco will take you to see Marrakech “the Red City of Morocco”. Therefore, our city guide will make sure you see all the sites with historical values and cultural interests, including the Koutoubia Minaret Mosque, the Saadian tombs, the beautiful Bay Palace, and the Ben Youssef Koranic School.
Through the streets: have the opportunity to see the different artisans of the medina doing their work before arriving at the famous Djamaa El Fna. Lunch at a restaurant near the place. Then, in the afternoon visit the Majorelle Gardens, and a small Gueliz tower – the new city of Marrakech. After dinner. Next, we will have the opportunity to walk around the place entertained by magicians, storytellers, their teeth, and food vendors.
Day 7: Marrakech to Casablanca:
Our Morocco one-week itinerary will be over after taking to Casablanca. We will start driving from Marrakech on the highway, which is about 3h, we will arrive in Casablanca and visit Hassan II mosque the only one that none Muslims can enter. Then, we can drive you to the airport or your accommodation.
