Itinerary for 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech:
Day 1: Tangier to Fes passing by Chefchaouen:
On the first day of your six-day journey from Tangier to Marrakech via the Sahara desert. Begin by meeting you at Tangier’s port or your hostel to cross the Rif Mountains to Tetouan. Enjoy spectacular mountain views till we arrive in Chefchaouan, well known as Morocco’s blue pearl because of its blue buildings and streets. As a result, we’ll have free time to explore the charming village at the foot of the Rif.
The latter features a Spanish-style square surrounded by rooftop art and craft shops, restaurants, and cafes with designated lunch tables. Finally, we will go to Fez, one of Morocco’s historic and imperial cities.The time we get there we are going to drive you to your accommodation.
Day 2: Touring in Fes:
Today is the second day of your journey of 6-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech. Therefore, our day is dedicated to exploring Fez with that being means that we will visit every corner of the city. Fes is the oldest imperial city we will see colorful streets and different souks with massive gates. The Medinas were founded by Idriss II, a center of Arab-Muslim culture Mosque of the Andalusians, tanneries, neighborhood potters, and Medina.
Once noon has arrived a free time for lunch and chill out in the palace of the Medina is our plan. In the afternoon we shall visit the Hispano-Moorish buildings and Medersas Nejjarine a historical old building that made the place very famous and the most visited.
Day 3: Fes to Merzouga Sahara desert:
Tangier to Marrakech. On the third day of our six-day vacation, we will explore the Sahara desert via Ifrane. After breakfast, we’ll head south to Ifran and Azrou via the Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop in Morocco’s Switzerland. Our second stop will be at the Visit Pew Woods to view monkeys in their natural environment.
As we travel via Tizi Ntalghamt and pass through the spectacular Ziz Gorges cut into volcanic rock, we will see vistas of the Middle Atlas Plateau and the changing environment, which will show desert notes as we reach Errachidia. Third, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga.
After a drink of mint tea, we will ride camels to our Berber tent located in the highest dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our luxury camp, where we will spend the night.
During your camel trip, our crew will look after you by giving you free time to take photos and stopping for you to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. When you arrive at the camp, our team will welcome you and invite you to take a tea break before picking up your tent. Finally, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber music drums under the sky.
Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Gorges:
The following day, we recommend getting up early to see the stunning sunrise over the dunes. Before you return the camels to the hotel, you will enjoy a fresh breakfast in the camp.
When you return to the hamlet, your driver will pick you up again and take you to the gorges of Tinghir and Todra, where we will view many canyons before arriving in the Dades Valley for dinner and the night.
Day 5: Dades to Marrakech:
Tangier to Marrakech is the fifth day of our 6-day Morocco trip. Begin by driving through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs provides numerous photo opportunities. Second, we’ll go to the Valley of Roses and Skoura. Then head to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa.” Lunch is at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s largest Kasbah.
After touring the UNESCO site, we continue our drive across the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains. We stopped to admire the breathtaking scenery. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Marrakech day tour:
Morocco’s 6-day travel plan from Tangier to Marrakech will take you to Marrakech. Locals refer to it as “the Red City of Morocco”.
