Itinerary for our Morocco 4 day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert:
Day 1: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades:
On the first day of our Morocco 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, will start at 8:30 a.m from your accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll drive through stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260m), to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous Berber fortress that has featured in many Hollywood films.
We’ll continue to Ouarzazate to visit the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco that once served as a palace for the Glaoui tribe. We’ll then continue through the Valley of Roses to reach the Dades Gorge, where we’ll spend the night in a comfortable riad.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades to Merzouga desert:
The second day of our Morocco 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert is a special day, we will start from your accommodation in Boumalne Dades, After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards the Sahara Desert via the Todra Gorges, where we can hike and explore before continuing to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and marble. We’ll then enter the desert and enjoy a camel trek to reach the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp.
You’ll have the opportunity to watch the sunset over the dunes and enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars while listening to Berber music.
Day 3: Merzouga desert to Ouarzazate:
After breakfast at our luxury desert camp, we will take camel trekking back to the village and drive back to Marrakech, We’ll then drive to Rissani, the hometown of the royal Alaouite dynasty and a famous market town. We’ll continue to the Draa Valley, passing through Berber villages and Kasbahs before reaching Ouarzazate, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 4: Ouarzazate back to Marrakech:
Today is the last day of our 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, as usual, the tour starts after breakfast heading back to Marrakech. We’ll visit the Kasbah of Taourirt before driving back towards Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop in Tizi N’Tichka Pass to enjoy the stunning views before arriving back in Marrakech in the afternoon, where our driver will drop you off at your hotel.
