Itinerary for our Morocco 4 days tour from Marrakech:
Day 1: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades:
The 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. Usually, starts at 8:30 a.m from your accommodation in Marrakech we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping along the way to take in the stunning scenery and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified city. From here, we will drive on to Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert,” where you will visit the Atlas Film Studios, where many famous movies have been filmed.
Continue the journey through the Valley of the Roses, famous for its rose products, and onto the Dades Gorges, where you will spend the night at a traditional Kasbah.
Day 2: From Dades to Merzouga:
On the second day, of our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes through Merzouga. Start with, Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon with stunning rock formations created by the Todra River. We will have time to take a walk through the gorge or try some rock climbing.
Next, we are going to continue to Merzouga, passing through Erfoud and Rissani. Then, we will arrive in Merzouga, ride camels into the Sahara Desert, and stop in the middle of the desert to see the magnificent sunset on the top dunes. Finally, we will arrive at the Camp, where we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night under the stars in your Berber-style tent.
Day 3: Discovering Merzouga desert:
On the following morning, we recommend you wake up early to see the sunrise. Then we will skirt the Erg Chebbi, a great extension of the sandy desert where we can find the Big Dune of Morocco. which is more than 250mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit Angelia.
Stop at Tissardmin Oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomad settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the hole Erg Chebbi.
We will reach Kamilia Village, originally from Mali, where we will have a relaxing cup of tea while we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa, for Lunch you will be served with a Berber pizza and Traditional way!
Then we will end up in the village your hotel or the Camp.
Day 4: Merzouga desert back to Fes:
Today is the last day of our trip 4 days tour from Marrakech. Since it is going to be a long drive we will try to resume our trip by driving through Rissani and Erfoud. Our first stop will be in Ziz Valley where will see the Ziz River from The top! thousands of palm trees.
We will have time for a coffee to enjoy the view! Later on, we will head to Midelt. This latter is famous for apples and locals call it the “city of apples” After a traditional lunch we will continue our journey to Fes. Therefore, we will have a stop at ” Mishlifen” where the barbarian monkeys, are chilling around the area! Next latter is Ifrane it is the finest and the cleanest city in Africa. local Moroccans call it the little Switzerland of Morocco because of the cold weather it has. What we will be visiting today is the lion statue in the city centre which was curved by a German soldier to present his liberty.
Finally, we will reach Fes by night a pick up to your hotel/riad.
